During our Californian trip we stopped at a place in Los Angeles called Heath Ceramics.
Founded in 1948 by Edit Heath, a talented ceramicist, her view was that her company would make “simple, good things for good people” – and I think she has definitely achieved this.
Today, over 60 years later, the company still has a mid-century feel about their ceramics, through the simple shapes, the colours they use and the beautiful quality of each piece.
We got a little excited and purchase a number of beautiful pieces, including the Eames House Numbers and tile track in the featured image.
Together with the stunningly simple water jug and the tealight holders in the walnut tray, we were very pleased with our purchases.
