Since we renovated our house in Salento, I have been obsessing about marble and patterned tiles and really want to redecorate our bathrooms in London. Both are a little “safe” and by that I mean bland!
So, where to look for inspiration? It’s a well known fact that hotels are a fabulous source of inspiration for bathroom design. Look no further than Soho House – they do bathrooms brilliantly.
What’s the common theme? Patterned tiles. And you know how much I adore a patterned tile!
What I love about the tiles in bathrooms at Soho House is that they are often vintage or handmade, celebrating the raw material and natural pigments which gives a beautiful but simple aesthetic. Bert & May is one of the main suppliers of tiles to the Soho House group which means you too can get the Soho House look!

One of my favourite Soho House bathrooms is in Soho Beach House Miami. This decor is a bold nod to Art Deco but with the modern meets classic twist that Soho House do so well. This bathroom definitely inspired the lighting and mirrors in our bathroom in Salento.

Our bathroom in Salento features lots of the hotel design elements such as Carrara marble, round mirrors, double sinks, bare bulb lighting and lots of patterned tiles!

Finally, I’ll leave you with this image from Drummonds which has to be one of my favourite bathrooms of all time and my starting point for our London bathroom. Beautifully art deco with crittal and those floor tiles. Love!

There are more beautiful bathroom images on my Pinterest board, which include crittal, metro tiles, marble and obviously more patterned tiles!
